Hello again 6J

Things have changed quite a lot since we were all last together, haven’t they? I hope you and your families are staying safe and well and adapting to our new routines. As much as I’ve enjoyed spending quality time with my family, I have REALLY missed us all being together and I know Mrs Stanley has missed working with you all too.

Did your mums, love their Mother’s Day cards?! I bet they appreciated your unique designs, amazing artwork and thoughtful words even MORE THAN EVER this year. I know I did! I received a bundle of handmade and recycled cards, gifts and poems. We have decided to do this every year from now on! Have you made any changes for the better already that you are going to try to continue to do after life gets back to normal again?

My time so far has been filled with quite a lot of spring cleaning I bet your bedrooms are spotless now, aren’t they Year 6 ???????  The rest of my day usually involves helping my girls with their home learning activities.  They have set up their usual routine of lessons where they complete the lessons for that day. During their dinner times, they have even been FaceTiming friends to chat to like a real dinner time. I hope you’ve all been managing to stay in touch in different ways with each other too.

In the afternoons, we have been completing lots of physical activities including Mr Smith’s Wake Up fitness routine, Gymnastics, Netball skills,  Cycling and ALOT of Tick Tock dancing. Miss Morrison will be very impressed.

I hope you have managed to rest a lot after such a hardworking term and have given yourself a well deserved week’s Easter holiday break from your studies. However, remember it’s important to keep up with your work. Try to complete two pages a day on the booklets as these consolidate the key facts and knowledge useful for when you start your new high schools but also try some of the activities from the weekly online tasks too.

And exciting news Year 6, I have received e.mails from some of your new schools. They are very keen to meet you as soon as possible but in the meantime I have been telling them all about the amazing pupils they are going to have coming to them in September.

Remember this week is a VERY SPECIAL week: Holy Week. Maybe you could prepare a ‘Home’ Class Liturgy for your family to reflect on the special events of this week.

Have a good week and STAY SAFE everyone.

Love Mrs Jones & Mrs Stanley
