Hey Year 1,

I hope you all had a great easter and a lovely week in the sunshine, I have loved going for a walk in the sun - I even caught a horrendous T-shirt tan!

You are all doing so well, I know it's very hard learning from home and I'm finding it tricky myself but everyday when I wake up, I make myself a little to do list of all the work and jobs I want to do during the day, it has really helped keep me motivated! Why don't you have a go of making yourselves a 'to do' list? Since working from home I have lost track of the days of the week, I wonder who can remember the days of the week and the order they go in? At the top of my 'to do' list I write the long date to remind myself which day we are on - why don't you try doing the same? Do you remember our days of the week song? See if you can remember to spell them correctly - some of them are super tricky!

One thing my to do list did remind me of this morning is that IT IS THE WEEKEND!!!

This is your time to relax after a hard week at home, take time to play with your brother's or sister's, have some family time, help your mum's and dad's around the house, play on your favourite video game or app, draw your favourite picture or watch your favourite film on Netflix. This weekend I will be doing exactly the same, I won't be doing any exercise, I am going to watch as much Netflix as I possibly can and finish another book I have started. I might even bake some brownies - yummy!

I can't begin to tell you how much I am missing being at school and missing all of you - even the chatterboxes and the bum shufflers! As I am missing you all so much  - I have decided to set myself a challenge and write you all individual letters, so please keep a lookout for an envelope with your name on coming through your letterbox :)

Just a quick reminder -  there are lots of apps and websites you can use to help with your learning

- Abacus games

- Phonics play

- BBC Bitesize

- TopMarks

- Oxford Owl (They have some free resources and books you can read online!)

- Whiterose

Keep going Year 1, I am very proud of you all!

See you soon,

Love Miss Braithwaite xxx
